An ANOVA Based Analytical Dynamic Matrix Controller Tuning Procedure for FOPDT Models
Dynamic Matrix Control (DMC) is a widely used model predictive controller (MPC) in industrial plants. The successful implementation of DMC in practical applications requires a proper tuning of the controller. The available tuning procedures are mainly based on experience and empirical results. This paper develops an analytical tool for DMC tuning. It is based on the application of Analysis of V...
متن کاملAnalytical design of FIR filters
A new recursive algorithm for the impulse response coefficients of a FIR lowpass filter is developed. The algorithm is obtained from the differential equation for the amplitude response of a lowpass filter. While the original filter exhibits maximally flat frequency response, the abridging of the impulse response provides a frequency response comparable to those obtained by other design methods.
متن کاملAnalytical Design of Bandstop Fir Filters for Image Processing
Novel approach in the design of 2−D extremely narrow bandstop FIR filters is presented. The completely analytical design method is based on the 1−D optimal bandstop FIR filters. The 1−D FIR optimal bandstop filters are based on Zolotarev polynomial. Closed form formulas for the design of the filters are presented. One example demonstrates the design procedure. One application of the 2−D narrow ...
متن کاملAnalytical Design of Zero-phase Circular 2d Fir Filters
This paper proposes a simple and efficient analytical design method for 2D non-recursive filters with circularlysymmetric and zero-phase frequency response. The design is achieved in the frequency domain and is based on prototype filters of two types: maximally-flat and Gaussian-shaped. The 2D FIR filter transfer function results directly in factorized form. Two types of 2D circular filters wil...
متن کاملOptimization Of Frequency-Response Masking Based Fir Filters
A very efficient technique to drastically reduce the number of multipliers and adders in implementing linear-phase finite-impulse response (FIR) digital filters in applications demanding a narrow transition band is to use the frequency-response masking (FRM) approach originally introduced by Lim. The arithmetic complexity can be even further reduced using a common filter part for constructing t...
